Founder & Artist

I founded Frolic Maine with a vision to create jewelry that is meaningful, beautiful, and deeply personal. Drawing inspiration from nature both light and dark, along with a sprinkle of whimsy, I aim to craft pieces that resonate with the soul.

My passion for jewelry, particularly earrings, has always been strong. However, a severe metal allergy prevented me from wearing them. This challenge fueled my desire to design a collection that caters not only to my needs but also to those with sensitivities.

Every earring in our collection, be it a dangle or a stud, features metal-free hooks. This ensures that even the most sensitive individuals can enjoy our pieces without discomfort.

FAQs

The hardware is made from hypoallergenic stainless steel and the earring hook is medical grade plastic. If you are anything like me, hypoallergenic just doesn't cut it. You still get red and itchy but with the plastic you shouldn't react at all (unless you are allergic to plastic and if so I am happy to switch out the hook to better suit your ears or provide a full refund).
While every effort is made to inspect prior to shipping, I can't guarantee every item will be absolutely free from defects or mishandling during shipping. If your item arrives damaged or defective please let me know and I will do my best to repair or replace it.
Generally, it's best to avoid exposing earrings to water, harsh chemicals, or excessive moisture. Wiping them gently with a soft cloth when possible and storing them in a clean, dry place will help maintain their beauty.
